The 2024-25 Polar Bear Racing Series launched with plenty of action, as opening day brought both lively winds and a drizzly challenge. Thursday’s Child charged ahead in the first race, clinching an impressive win right out of the gate.
But the drama didn’t end there. As boats lined up for a second round, organizers discovered the barge buoy had mysteriously vanished! With a quick pivot, the course was reset, now navigating around QB and QC as makeshift markers. Thursday’s Child faced a tough start on the first downwind leg and, despite a determined effort, couldn’t quite claw its way back into contention. A thrilling start to the season with surely more excitement to come!
